I am an ex-homeless actor, writer and theatre facilitator living, laughing and loving with complex trauma. My work walks a fine line between the poetic and the everyday to present timeless humanity responding to contemporary experiences in an uncompromising but hopeful way. With my company Response Ability Theatre (R.A.T.), I aim to tell dangerous stories in safe spaces to uplift the downtrodden, and to unite audiences from different walks of life in empathy, humanity, humour, need, motivation and ambition for a better future.
I also have extensive experience in working with at-risk young people, neurodiverse groups, community groups and a specialized facilitative practice with trauma survivors and social and mental health service providers.
I also love working with classical stories and texts in ways that remind our modern world of aspects of humanity we engage with less often now than we did before, or when there are opportunities to highlight modern thought where we do not expect to find it.
