Nell Bailey

Director Dramaturg Performer Script Reader and Editor Facilitator

I am a director, dramaturg and facilitator from Bristol, working between London and the SW. Excited by devised, documentary theatre, my practice is embedded in building community on and off stage in collaborative, accessible ways.

I am the founder and artistic director of November Theatre - a collaborative, new works theatre company. I directed their UK debut show 'how to build a wax figure' (2022) and I'm currently developing 'PITCH' (2023), a show about the relationship between queerness and football. I am a course director for the National Youth Theatre and assist their Stepping Up program - a 3 month level two training in Acting and Leadership. I have directed work for The Pleasance, Assembly, Fourth Monkey Drama School. Golden Goose, Lion and Unicorn theatre and NYT.

I have assisted for The Wooster Group, Object Collection, and Killer Films.

I work with young people in London and Bristol. I am also a also a casting coordinator for WildmanHall casting, and a Development Assistant at Early Day Films.
