Yami Löfvenberg is a multidisciplinary artist and director working between the intersection of movement, theatre and cross arts.
Between making her own work and directing Yami mentor, educate, and delivers workshops across the UK and Internationally.
She likes to devise work with playfulness at the heart and challenge participants to explore a new take on theatre.
Her skill of working with cross-art forms has seen her collaborate with a multitude of diverse artists and organizations throughout her career.
Underpinning her aesthetic is her background, knowledge and love of Hip-Hop Culture and Dance.
Her work is rooted in combining storytelling using character work, comedy, physicality and text, and she is not afraid to push outspokenness and rawness within her and others work.
A motto she goes by is "Let's Edutain"= Educate & Entertain
Her core values and mission is to amplify black voices on and off stage and she often work with subjects such as; social /political structures, equity, intersectional womxn empowerment.
Keen Interest in working with Cross art forms everything from New writing, collaborative devising, Circus, Burlesque, Cabaret, Puppetry, Hip Hop, Dance, Live music, LGBTQ+ positive work.
