I am a Swedish/Dutch actor (she/her) and theatre maker based in London. I graduated from the BA (Hons) Acting Collaborative & Devised Theatre at The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama last year. Before drama school I studied educational drama and went on to work as a freelancing drama teacher. I was initially drawn to educational drama because I had discovered a love for directing, and I thought it would be useful to understand pedagogics and group dynamics. My work included writing for and directing young people, often refugees or other children from very challenging backgrounds. My practice is rooted in storytelling, movement & music. I specialise in gender & LGBTQ+ awareness & multilingual environments. For me theatre is about social engagement; about trying to understand what being human means and how we can make the world a better place and challenge powers that be. I am passionate about political, multidisciplinary theatre that is as entertaining, playful and fun as it is deadly serious and rebellious. I am a devising director and I believe in a collaborative approach where all creatives and actors work together to surprise each other and themselves in the creative process. Since 2019, I am the proud co-artistic director of the devising company Artistic Rebellion.
