Helen White

Director Actor Theatremaker Artist

An up and coming director and dramaturg, who is dedicated and determined to forge a successful career in the theatre industry.

I am interested in how past texts can be used to spark a discussion of modern society. Through my dissertation, I researched how modern adaptations of Shakespeare's King Lear used the political themes of the play to highlight contemporary concerns of British politics (e.g Brexit). I am interested in devising political and immersive theatre.

The limited experience I have due to my age is more than compensated for by my enthusiasm, drive and commitment to the industry.
