Eilidh Loan is an Award Winning Actor and Writer from Glasgow.
Eilidh’s passion for writing and directing bloomed when she was training at drama school. She set up her own film company, Scuffed Productions to encourage other actors with a keen interest in other parts of the industry, to try out new skills and for this, Eilidh was awarded the Guildford School of Acting Entrepreneur Award.
During her graduating year, Eilidh was selected to represent her drama school at the Carleton Hobbs Bursary Award. She was the winner of the Alan Bates Award 2018 and the Guildford School of Acting BA Acting Award.
Eilidh’s debut play, Moorcroft is currently running at the Tron Theatre Glasgow and playing to sold out houses.
Eilidh has worked extensively with production company, Head & Wrecker. Eilidh wrote their most recent short film, Pure Sin which won the Audience Choice Award at the 48 hour Film Festival last year.
Eilidh was nominated for Best Actress in a Radio Drama at the One Voice Radio Awards for her performance of Lady Macbeth with Almost Tangible. Since then, Eilidh has worked very closely with Almost Tangible. She is a member of their writers’ group and is currently work directing a new audio book for there company.
Eilidh is devoted to spreading Mental Health Awareness, especially in the arts and has taken part in several podcasts discussing her experiences in the industry. Eilidh is dyslexic and openly talks about her experiences to encourage other young writers with dyslexia to keep challenging and pushing for support. Eilidh is extremely passionate about telling stories from her background and she feels it is vital that working class voices are heard in the creative industry.
