Giulia Vitiello (she/her) is an Italian born theatre maker currently based on a boat on the River Lea, in between London and Hertfordshire.
Currently studying at Central Saint Martins, she previously trained acting with Laboratorio Teatrale Terzo Millenio and in Commedia Dell’Arte with Eugenio Allergi, a direct Lecoq pupil. Likewise, she is continuing to explore the potential of movement and physical theatre at LISPA, Berlin.
She started focusing on directing, dramaturgy and scriptwriting both for theaatre and film after moving to London in 2016. She experimented in different disciplines as set design, scenography, costume design and stage management and her creative process evolves incorporating design elements and visualisation to a more dramaturgy based approach.
What connects all of her practice is her desire to react to the political, social and economical context. She is especially interested in post- dramatic practice and aesthetics of post industrial narratives.
