I’m an actor turned director who makes a range of work from children’s theatre to naturalism. I’m passionate about bringing LGBTQ+ and working class stories/voices onstage. I’m experienced in new work, revivals, dramaturgy, Shakespeare, open air theatre and puppetry.
Credits
Scott was born in Bristol, grew up in Birmingham, trained as an actor at Arts Ed and was a director on the Birmingham Rep’s first Foundry Programme. In 2022, he completed the National Theatre Director’s Course.
He is an Associate Director for Pleasure Dome Theatre Company and has directed all of their productions to date including A Christmas Carol (Brewhouse, Taunton), Rosalie (Arlington Court and South West Tour), Louisa (South West Tour) and A Midsummer Night's Dream (The Valley of Rocks).
This year Scott's production of Jab was nominated for 3 Off West End Awards.
Scott directed the Off Com award winning digital revival of Rose by Martin Sherman starring Maureen Lipman (Hope Mill Theatre/Sky Arts/Broadway HD). Last year he was nominated for Best Creative West End Debut at The Stage Awards for his production of Rose. In 2022, he received an Off West End and Broadway World nomination for Best Director for Rose. Last year Rose won an Off West End award for Best Solo Performance.
