Lucy Aley-Parker

Director Actor Writer

Hi I'm Lucy

An actor/director that has returned to the industry after a long break. I'm a member of an excellent co-op that represents my acting interests, but increasingly enjoying directing. I have directed various fringe and new writing events. I've also written a few short scenes that have been used in some of these.
I most recently directed Roy Williams' 'Days of Significance', which played to sold out houses and had excellent reviews, then The Water's Edge by Theresa Rebeck in the same space in 2021 - which again sold out. These were at The Questors Studio in Ealing, and although officially 'amateur' this theatre consistently produces productions of professional quality. I have directed a number of shorts, Youth Theatre and special new writing events there and am happy to be asked to direct plays again in the main season.
Directing these hard-hitting scripts his has spurred me on to actively seek more directing work; specifically in an officially 'professional' environment.

Training

Apart from the full time course at Webber Douglas many years ago, I have attended AMAW London workshops, a number of directing, text, movement and acting workshops with the RSC Open Stages programme, and I continue to participate and seek out other relevant workshops for new directors etc.
