Shankho Chaudhuri

I am London-based designer, working across disciplines including set, video and VR.

Trained first as a Mechanical Engineer (Imperial College London), then as a Designer (Royal College of Art / Imperial College London), my theatre career began first by performing, directing and designing for Imperial's Musical Theatre Society. It was then extended by my exploration of the “Future of Storytelling” at the RCA, where my thesis project was a speculative design exploring augmented-reality set design.

I am currently at the National Theatre, having been awarded the Production Design Assistant residency for 2019/20.

I create multi-disciplinary work, drawing from a range of design practices and explore the intersection of technology with the performing arts.
