Helen Morley

Director Facilitator Participation Producer

I am a theatre director and participatory artist based between Bristol and London. I believe art is a vehicle of social change and this drives the work I make.

As a theatre director I enjoy work that is formally innovative, playful, politically urgent and where the live presence of the audience feels necessary. I am interested in how live art events can build community and encourage productive dialogue. I have presented work at The Yard Theatre, The Bunker Theatre, Edinburgh Fringe, VAULT Festival, MAC Birmingham and BBC Sounds.

As a participatory artist I am interested in how theatre can be used as a tool in policymaking and community consultation, within both arts and non-arts organisations. I was previously Young Director and then Creative Arts Programme Lead at Prime Theatre and have extensive experience designing participatory projects for and with young people, particularly vulnerable young adults.
