I am a theatre-maker and applied theatre practitioner with many years experience working in educational and community settings. I am originally from Bristol and trained with the Bristol Old Vic Company where I first learnt about new devising techniques and became interested in being a theatre maker.I have been based in London since 2015, gaining my undergraduate degree in Drama and Performance (with a minor in Applied Theatre) and later trained with The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama.
As a creative producer and I've had the privilege to work on some really exciting projects. I’ve had the opportunity to work at some reputable and exciting theatres and companies such as The Old Vic Theatre, Kestrel Theatre, Almeida Theatre and London Bubble Theatre. Through my freelance work, I’ve worked on and help produce workshops, R&Ds and productions of new work led by an array of artists and creatives; managing budgets for productions and projects; drafting contracts and being responsible for all creative freelancers; drafting and maintaining guest lists for press nights and being hands on in the rehearsal room.
As a theatre-maker I have had the privilege to work with so many artists and companies, it’s hard to briefly write about them all. In 2018, I co-founded the company; Damsels Reconstructed where we took our debut piece, Three Bloody Marys, Please to Battersea Arts Centre and Southend Fringe Festival. Most recently, I worked on an R&D of The Lesson with Icarus Theatre. This was an ACE funded R&D working with creative captioning (the captions became a design element and were embedded into the performance rather than just subtitled captions) and how to make theatre more accessible for deaf and people who are hard of hearing.
I am also a recipient of Ignite 2021 award by Trinity Laban for The Sleep Project.
