Amy Clare Tasker

Hello! I'm a theatre maker and musical theatre writer.

I want my work to bring people together, to awaken curiosity, and to inspire empathy. I believe we can do more than simply reflect the world as it is; theatre has the power to show us worlds that could be.​​

I’m currently focused on writing for musical theatre. Projects in development include Ukulele Days: a new musical for actor-musicians and the world's cheeriest instrument; and Joanna of Castile, a new musical inspired by the true story of "Joanna la Loca."

I am a member of the Book, Music & Lyrics workshop, Mercury Musical Developments, and Musical Theatre Network.

I co-lead Pinecone Performance Lab, creating theatre that delights in unexpected connections. We are inspired by the idea of the Golden Ratio, a mathematical concept that connects design, art, music, and nature... everything in the universe.
