Monica Cox

Director Theatremaker Writer Dramaturg

Monica enjoys exploring all forms of communication in theatre.
Coming from a languages background (being half Spanish and studying Spanish and Russian at Bath University) she relishes in celebrating the work of different cultures from all around the world. For example when she has previously worked in an independent theatre in Argentina and directed a production of The Seagull in Siberia.

She has a affinity for physical theatre and combined this with her fascination of language in her dissertation which explored physical theatre as a universal language.

However, evoking an emotional reaction from the audience is at the heart of her work and by far the most important to her.
