Joanna Bowman
Director
I am a theatre director living in Glasgow, working between London and Glasgow. I am interested in new writing, and putting unexpected stories and questions onstage. It is important that my work interrogates and explores the possibilities and limitations of the form. I am a strong dramaturg, and enjoy dissecting then putting plays back together. I also read for the National Theatre of Scotland, Papatango Prize, David MacLennan Award, Tron Theatre, Bruntwood Prize, Citizens Theatre, and various independent producers.
I am Associate Director of the Tron Theatre, a Creative Associate of Vanishing Point, and a National Theatre Connections Director. I was a finalist for the 2022 JMK Award.
