Jordana Belaiche is a British-Algerian writer and performer based in London.
Jordana trained as a dramaturg at Royal Central School of Speech and Drama on the MA Theatre Criticism and Dramaturgy course and at SOAS, University of London. Jordana began writing for stage in 2017, when her first play Knowledge is Power won the Best New Writing prize at the London Student Drama Festival and went on to receive a run at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in the same year. Since then, their work has been received in several London theatres including the Pleasance, the Courtyard, the Almeida and the Golden Goose. Last autumn Jordana's play get it off yer chest received a debut performance at the Newmarket International Festival of One Act Plays. Their drag character, Little Lord Fondleroy, was developed as part of the Soho Theatre Drag and Cabaret lab in 2020, they regularly perform with Interlude choir and are a member of musical theatre improv troupe, Adlibretto. Jordana has been published in Red Pepper Magazine, Palm Sized Press and Samfiftyfour literary magazine and is co-founder of Don't Tell the Village Elders Collective, a network of BPOC and queer spiritual practitioners looking to reclaim practices from capitalism and colonialism. She was producer, co-host and editor of the first season of 'Hitched on the Astral', a podcast dedicated to matchmaking through the lens of natal astrology, with Lucy Porter. She is an active member of the Last Breath Society, established by Martin O'Brien and is part of Complicité's Grief Chorus.
