Iskandar إسكندر bin Sharazuddin
Creative Producer
Director
I am an award-winning freelance writer, theatre-maker, and educator based in London. I am the co-founder and co-artistic director of Ellandar Ltd. a British East and Southeast Asian (BESEA) led theatre company. I prioritise platforming work which focuses on diverse British Muslim narratives, BESEA lived experience, and female stories. I produce and commission new theatre which draws on and celebrates difference and challenges pervasive stereotypes to amplify unheard voices.
I am passionate about theatre being accessible and resonant with diverse communities across the UK and internationally. I am the Communities Associate at Headlong Theatre an internationally recognised and world-leading touring theatre company. I also work in higher education as a visiting lecturer and associate artist at leading actor training institutions and drama schools.
