Chloe Cattin

Theatre Maker
Chloe has worked as a theatre maker in London, South Africa and Zimbabwe. She has an honours degree in Theatre and Performance (Theatre Making) from the University of Cape Town and now lives and works in London. As a theatre maker and director, Chloe loves devizing and works best leading a group of actors in a collaborative and playful process. Chloe likes telling stories that reveal human truths, stories that are uncomfortable, ugly, stories that cut through the fat and reach the bone.
Chloe is an alum of the Lincoln Centre Theatre Directors Lab in New York and the Directors Lab Mediterranean.

WORK WITH CHILDREN, YOUNG PEOPLE AND COMMUNITIES
FACILITATOR
As a workshop facilitator, I hope to make arts and their benefit accessible to communities specifically in school and care home settings. My recent sessions with schools have been with groups of up to 30 children of primary school age.
NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF ALLIED ARTS SPEECH AND DRAMA FESTIVAL – ADJUDICATOR
I adjudicated close to 1000 students aged between 6 and 18 on different drama disciplines – Shakespeare, Improvisation, Drama, Spoken word, Mime and Original Work. The Annual Eisteddfod is similar to LAMDA examinations and takes place every year in Zimbabwe | June/July 2022
SOUTH LONDON REFUGEE ASSOCIATION | MIGRANT CONNECTIONS FESTIVAL
I co – directed the youth programme for the South London Refugee Association Migrant Connections festival. This project involved a large ensemble group of children with various English speaking abilities. We created a performance using music and object theatre | 2021
