Tian Brown-Sampson

I am a theatre director, producer, movement director and choreographer, facilitator and performer based in London and Newport, South Wales. My focus lays within Black, South Asian and South East/ East Asian theatre work and promoting diversity, representation and accessibility on and off stage and in positions of power and leadership. I am passionate about developing contemporary work that reflects and challenges our various societies and the communities within, and that puts our communities at the core of our practice.

I am currently Resident Assistant Producer at Theatre503; Producer at Stage Sight; a member of the 2020 cohort for Tamasha’s Directors Programme led by Sita Thomas; and also the 2019 cohort of Artistic Directors of the Future’s Board Shadowing Programme with Punchdrunk, Complicité and English Touring Theatre.
