Peter Laszlo Palffy

Director

If I like a play very much, almost immediately pictures start to fill up my mind, pictures which I want to show to everyone. Pictures which might be seen as independent framed stills, but – being in the same performance – one will understand the ‘big picture’, the whole expression of impressions. That kind of theatre will be able to find its way directly not just to audiences’ brains, but to their hearts as well.
Because theatre is still a ritual, for creators and for audience, too. And lots of individual are lost, mostly for their loneliness; but if they get together because of a ‘ritual’, because of a performance, maybe they will find their way, their significance in the world.
For that I would say that my preferred pronoun is WE.
