Margarita Valderrama

I'm a Colombian-Canadian screenwriter, playwright, and a Dora Award-nominated actor. My writing centres complex female and queer characters that are vulnerable, miserable, toxic and funny. My cultural background and immigrant experience inform my work, which showcases Latine communities’ humour, diversity, and generational differences with laughter and heart. After almost ten years of building my career and community in Toronto, I came to London to be inspired, challenged, and to be embedded in a flourishing arts scene. I'm interested in performance and writing opportunities, as well as collaborating with fellow artists to grow my community here.
