Tina Bagia

Theatre maker, performer, movement practitioner

Tina is a Greek performer and theatre maker based in London. She is a graduate of the MA in Advanced Theatre Practice at Royal Central School of Speech and Drama. She graduated in 2022 with a first honours degree in BA Theatre from Brunel University London where she was also awarded with the Steve Dixon Prize for Creativity in Theatre Practice and the Award of the Best Performing Graduate in Theatre.
Over the years she has been involved in multidisciplinary performance training including classical acting studies, dance, musical theatre, at several institutions and theatre companies in Greece as well as music theory studies and piano at the National Conservatory of Greece.
Tina is passionate about creating multidisciplinary contemporary performances with special focus in physical theatre that is inclusive by bringing many cultures, bodies and languages together.
She is a member and co-founder of the Kissing Cactus theatre company alongside Carol Ackad and Nikos Lekakis and they are currently working in the upcoming project “Best before”, scheduled to be performed on the 5th and 6th of September 2024 at Camden People’s Theatre as part of the ATP Format Festival Shape-Shifting.

Credits

She is the co-founder of the theatre company Kissing Cactus that presented their devised physical show ‘Best Before’ on September 2024 at Camden people’s theatre in London. She has participated in performances such as “Antigonick” by A. Carson in the role of Ismene, an adaptation of the “Three Sisters” by A. Chekov for the role of Irene, the devised physical theatre piece “The things we cared about”, the musical theatre show “The pajama Game” in the role of Prez, the dance captain and assistant choreographer, and her own physical theatre piece “Φτου και βγαίνω the play we games” as part of her dissertation for Brunel University London in 2022. Also in 2022 Tina was the Assistant Director and Choreographer of the production “Love Cup in the trash” at Brunel University London. The past two years Tina has been performing in immersive shows for families and children.
