Elliott Wooster

Actor Singer Director

They/Them
I am a Welsh born, London based, Non Binary Actor, who is in the process of transitioning into directing. In
recent years I have been less sure of where to place myself as an actor, and as I explore the future of my
gender expression it doesn’t feel like it is going to become easier. But it has prompted me to move forward
my end goal - which is to direct. For years, I have found myself sketching out ideas for how to adapt books
I’ve enjoyed into stage works or for screen, and even had a number of ideas for original works. I have
recently started planning and writing an original horror novel, and have a few scene ideas for a queer play
that I would love to fully develop.
I am a very early career director, but I have had a wealth of experience as an actor for stage and screen.
Through my work and school experience, I want to prioritise a safe and empathetic work environment that
allows actors to take risks because they feel supported. I enjoy work that is cohesive in terms of the world
being created, and work that centres the text and interpersonal relationships above spectacle. I am also
interested in the integration of multimedia and technology into theatre in order to enhance storytelling.
