I have three scripts which I would like to show to Nadia Fall to consider. 1) AS HAPPY AS GOD IN FRANCE which tells the unknown story of Hannah Arendt's imprisonment by the French in 1940. It looks at three women. Arendt, Artist Charlotte Salomon and schoolgirl Communist Eva Daube. The play reveals a hidden story of women's incarceration and possible escape. 2) THE PILLOW FIGHT which explores the last taboo: sexual abuse by a brother on his sister. 3) WOMAN ON THE BRIDGE the story of a London radio journalist who goes to the Brooklyn Bridge for a recce but is actually drawn to it for a suicide attempt. Productions have been at The Tricycle Theatre, Arcola Theatre, Riverside Theatre, Finborough Theatre, Park Theatre, The Electric Theatre Blackpool, JW3, Staatstheater Karlsruhe, Theatre Atalante Paris, Maubeuge International Theatre Festival.
I am a published playwright. My texts are published by Methuen. 13 plays are published.

Training

I studied acting and worked as a performer for four years in major theatres. But most of my career has been as a director and playwright. www.juliapascal.org
I have recently trained in screenwriting with Dyspla.

I completed my PhD in 2016 and have also been teaching. This summer I am teaching the construction of complex characters for writers, performers and directors at Royal Central School of Speech and Drama. I am an Associate Lecturer at the University of the Arts (Wimbledon College of Arts) and a Research Fellow at King's College London.
