Anna Alvarez

Choreographer Movement Director Performer Producer Facilitator

Anna is a British Latinx artist. She works with creative teams supporting movement, dance and body connectivity through creating dynamic movement vocabularies that can be performed across diverse performance spaces.

Anna’s work interrogates the ways that we use our bodies, our relationship with the UK, the environment and the third spaces created by being in between cultures, races and the complexity this presents. Underpinning all the work is the idea that space is bound up with power, politics and can be transformed.

Anna’s practice is interdisciplinary, intersectional, and inclusive, encompassing theatre-making, live art, contemporary dance, folk dance, film, co-creation and the excitement of live shows. Her work is for audiences and teams who are interested in asking questions about identity through a global perspective.
