Rosaleen Cox

Writer Performer

Rosaleen Cox (she/her) is an Irish/Australian actor and writer from rural Victoria. Specialising in dark comedy, her portfolio includes the critically acclaimed solo play “MAD WOMAN”, “TWO FINGERS” (produced by Bitter Pill Theatre) and “STIFF DRINK”, which she performed in sold out theatres across London and Los Angeles (leading to arguably 2023’s most inarticulate BBC interview, which she delivered while lost in West Cork).

Rosaleen’s work has been commissioned by Meta and The Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts Awards (AACTA). She won the Director's Choice award at the St Kilda Film Festival, was selected for six AACTA LMAO awards (winning "Best Original Content") and received the "One to Watch" accolade from the Melbourne International Comedy Festival (mainly for taking home awards that don't belong to her).

As a writer she was a finalist for the prestigious Australian in Film (AiF) Untapped program and shortlisted for The Painkiller Prize in 2024.
