Jessica Potts

Theatre Director Writer Actor Stage Manager Facilitator

I'm a psychology graduate and NYT Associate member. Whilst at University I began writing and directing plays and sketches as well as facilitating backstage training. I'm interested in opportunities to write and direct stories that feel relevant and topical. I'm particularly interested in women's and queer stories as well as dissection of politics. I've also enjoyed writing comedy and horror and would love to do more. I enjoy collaborating with other artists as well as solo pursuits.

I conducted my undergraduate research project on the "How actors perceive anxiety in audition performances" which was a qualitative study in which I interviewed actors on their audition experiences and their anxiety coping strategies.
