My dear human beings, lovers, wanderers and creatures of the cosmos who’s curious hearts come across these loved pages, may all your warmest wishes and dancing dreams come true.
My name is Mairin Margot (She/They), and I am an actor and performance artist, who occasionally dabbles in creating surreal worlds through poetry.
Guided by a strong belief in the transformative power of the arts, I aim to create meaningful connections and empower individuals through creative expression. My goal is to produce theatre experiences that uplift, inspire, and unite communities, fostering social change and a sense of belonging for all.
As a young artist living abroad, my work primarily revolves around the themes of home and belonging. Living in different countries and experiencing various places as temporary homes has profoundly influenced my artistic perspective. It has allowed me to perceive my surroundings through a fresh lens, uncovering both the romantic and uncanny aspects of the world around me.
Once I realised that the topic of home held such a stagnant influence on how I interpret the world around me, I introduced archival practice to my work, using my memories as my first source of inspiration.
Throughout my career I have also developed a fierce interest in experimental, radical, and fringe work. I am now striving to be part of the beating heart that curates new edge-cutting theatre and performances. It is incredibly important to me to strengthen the foundation of groundbreaking, inclusive and important work.
Picture a bustling hub of creativity, innovation and wonder – that's where I thrive! Over the years, I have also honed my expertise in producing and facilitating creative workshops to engage young people aged 11 to 25, particularly those facing various challenges within mainstream education. I have gained extensive experience leading, producing, and delivering events in creative environments, including SEND settings.
Really I am just another wanderer of London's streets, looking to find joy and love in offering my ideas to the world.
