Oscar trained on the Young Vic's Springboard Program, the Barbican Pit lab workshops with Thomas Ostermeier and Ivo van Hove, the NT Studio Directors Course, and the Lincoln Centre Theatre Lab.

He was runner up for the JMK Award 2019, and a finalist for the Peter Hall RTST Award 2018 and 2023. He received an MGC Futures Bursary in 2017. In 2023 he participated on the Hollyoaks from Stage to Screen Programme, designed to train up theatre directors for the screen.

He will begin a new role as the Baylis Director at the Old Vic in 2024.

He regularly works as a guest director at RWCMD, Guildhall, RCSSD, East 15 and Arts Ed; and is an Associate Artist at National Youth Theatre.
