Rachel Gemaehling

Dramaturg Director

I’m a dramaturg (script and production dramaturgy) and director from France who has lived and worked in London for the past 15 years. Before this, I explored various avenues in theatre and worked as a performer and set designer. I have a practical and rich experience of the varied roles involved in bringing a production to life, and a particular interest in work addressing socio-political themes. My research and practice focus on eco and climate dramaturgy, sustainable production practices, and engaging work that explores the links between climate crisis and capitalism.
My approach is grounded in my interests and background: multi-lingual (French and Spanish), migrant, and feminist. I am passionate about theatre as a force for change and creating new societal narratives.
