Lavinia Serban

Dramaturg Literary Associate Assistant Director Theatre maker

I am a dramaturg and assistant director based in London. Pronouns she/her.
I am interested in new writing, verbatim and gig theatre and adapting stories for the stage.
I am passionate about storytelling structures, specifically about innovating storytelling structures.
As a Romanian living in London, I have the experience of being formed “theatrically” in two cultures, mixing in my practice the experimental form found in Eastern-European theatre scene and the power of the story deeply rooted in the British theatre scene. The experience of being an “outsider” also helps me connect on a human level with groups of people whose stories have been marginalised.
