Rachel Cleverly

Poet Playwright Participation Producer

Rachel is a poet, playwright and producer. Cream (flipped eye publishing, forthcoming), her debut pamphlet, uses dry humour to unpick the awkwardness of itching skin.

She is a Barbican Young Poet, and an alumnus of Apples and Snake’s ‘The Writing Room’, BBC Words First and the Soho Theatre Sketch Comedy Lab. Rachel works at The Poetry Society, where she manages the Foyle Young Poets of the Year Award, the world’s biggest writing competition for young people. She is a trustee of the Arvon Foundation, and is currently Assistant Directing a programme for emerging theatre makers
