My name is Despina and I am originally from Greece. I completed my BA in Acting in Greece. As an actor I have focused on interpreted roles from ancient Greek tragedy and contemporary plays. As well as work in theatre I work as a choreographer. My choreographies are influenced from contemporary dances, Latin American dances and Greek traditional dances. I trained as an acting coach at Royal Central School of Speech and Drama. I am currently a Ph.D. Researcher at Royal Holloway University. My research is focused on ancient Greek drama, folk dances and bodies in societies. I am interested in working as a choreographer, movement director, directing and ancient Greek drama as well as contemporary stage acting.
