I am predominantly a writer-director but with experience performing and producing. I got my start with the Bristol Revunions, developing shows throughout the years I was a member. This included from a showrunner's perspective leading the writers room to give the show a diverse and yet cohesive message; from a directorial standpoint ensuring the creative vision for the show was maintained whilst also considering the imput of the actors involved, ensuring a safe working enviroment for all cast and crew, stepping into roles when actors were unable to take part. Additionally, from a production perspective my roles involved securing funding, liaising with venues, and arranging marketing. Over the course of my term with Revunions I was also involved in organising several collaborative shows both in-house and across the UK including with the Cambridge Footlights and taking the troupe to Edinburgh. More recently I have assistant directed a production of The Cherry Orchard at the Oxford Playhouse and directed and written a sketch show for the Oxford Revue. Additionally, I co-founded ‘etcetera’ a new material comedy night in Oxford, founded on the principles of accessibility, inclusivity, and open access. This has given a platform for those who are not members of the Revue, ensuring that comedy in Oxford is not a closed shop. I am currently working on longer format plays, still with a grounding in comedy. I want to first make people laugh and then make them think.
Additionally, I am a satirist and an accomplished musician and am able to play piano and saxophone.
