Hello, my name is Sanjay Lago, pronouns He/Him. I am an actor, writer, comedian and facilitator based between Glasgow and London. I trained at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. I am queer, neurodiverse and 4th generation Indian born in Scotland.
I am the current John Mather Trust Rising Star of Scotland recipient and developing my semi-autobiographical play "I Wasn't Okay" with the support of the National Theatre of Scotland.
I am interested in new work, devising, theatre, directing, dramaturgy, multiartforms work. I also have experience and interested in work in social contexts such as community based work, prison and school settings.
