Anthonette Isioma

Writer Theatre Director

Anthonette Isioma is a British-Nigerian playwright and theatre director with training from the Young Vic, Talawa, RADA and Royal Court. Her play, 'A Letter to the President', modelled around Lorraine Hansberry’s 'A Raisin In The Sun', is a family drama set around the modern agitation for the defunct Biafra nation in West Africa.

Isioma is interested in stories about the African diaspora. She writes about systemic injustice, black families and romantic relationships.

She is the founder of the social enterprise, 'At Her Best', which seeks to encourage young Black British people in their walks of life.
