Anna Stephen

Theatre Director Writer Producer

Writer and theatre director.

I founded and direct Honest Fool Productions, a theatre company interested in new writing, movement work and creative adaptations of classic texts. Most recently I wrote and directed The Importance of Being Nihilists, which saw sold-out shows at the Edinburgh Fringe 2023.

I studied at the University of Oxford, graduating with a first-class BA in English Language and Literature in 2023. I won Oxford University Dramatic Society's 2023 New Writing Competition for my full-length play 'Better Yesterday', and was shortlisted for Oxford University Filmmaking Foundation's 2022 Short Film Screenwriting Competition.
