Hailing from Minneapolis, Minnesota, Julia is an award-winning director and writer. In her work, she strives to incorporate elements of surrealism, dark comedy and exploration of the female psyche. She graduated with a Masters of Arts in Film Directing from Met Film School in 2022, studied directing at Royal Central School of Speech and Drama and trained at St. Paul Conservatory for Performing Artists, and Whitman College.
Her debut short film, "Tap Twice" won Best Experimental Short Film at the 'Poppy Jasper International Film Festival 2023,' and was an official selection at 'Bizarroland Film Festival 2022,' 'Tallahassee Film Festival 2022,' and 'Blackbird Film Festival 2023.' [taptwiceshortfilm.squarespace.com]
