Marie Castel

Actress Writer Musician

I am a bilingual writer/actress (she/her). I write in both English and French but I always felt more drawn to English. I started off writing in English by writing music and that’s what I still connect to when I write in English.
I’m also a neurodivergent person (ASD) who moved into the UK to live my life. Learning codes and their application has always fascinated me and as exhausting as it can be, it’s thrilling when I can make it work. That’s also how I write. I don’t manage very well with everyday life, I can understand things better when large images are put there, when my characters are very human but also something else. I want to use more weirdness to reveal. That’s what I’m missing at the moment. That’s how I comprehend things better.
