Stella Rousham

Community Dance Artist Movement Director Choreographer Dance Writer Movement Teacher/Facilitator

My name is Stella Rousham (she/her) and I am a Community Dance Artist, Movement Director/Choreographer and Writer based in South London. I have trained in ballet, contemporary and creative dance, as well as having a First Class BA Hons. in Sociology from Cambridge University.

I have professional experience facilitating and teaching dance/movement for a diverse range of children, young people and older adults. I regularly work for organisations including: Trinity Laban, Corali Dance Company and The Blair Academy. Inclusivity and care are at the centre of my practice. I have specific experience and interest supporting and working creatively with participants who are physically disabled, neurodivergent and/or SEND.

I am a Movement Director/Choreographer and would love to seek more opportunities in this area. I enjoy working in a collaborative and interdisciplinary manner with directors, actors, videographers and visual artists alike.

I am also a Dance Writer and active member of leading dance magazine, 'dance art journal' - an independent publication which seeks to promote and amplify underrepresented dance artists through a range of reviews, interviews, features and workshops/events.
