Devon (she/her) is a multidisciplinary theatre practitioner with a special focus in Shakespeare and early modern theatre. She is the founder and Artistic Director of Mad Atomie Theatre Co. As an artist, she is inspired by the exploration of classic plays and media through nontraditional lenses, with the goal of making Shakespeare and his contemporaries accessible to a broader range of contemporary audiences and performers. As a scholar, she is particularly interested in the evolution of typecasting from the early modern stage through the present day. As such, she is also a vocal advocate for increased representation of and discourse on weight diversity on the professional stage.
