I am an early-career playwright living and working in London. My work explores untold LGBT stories from history, examining the lives of ordinary gay, lesbian and trans people that history books have forgotten, and reanimating them through plays and monologues

My writing process is research-led. I search for these stories within the margins of public archives, including newspaper reports, court documents, magazine archives and personal correspondence. This often involves exploring records at archives such as British Library, London Metropolitan Archives, King’s College Cambridge and The Bishopsgate Institute

My plays and monologues propose new ways of looking at LGBT representation, looking at how LGBT stories have been mistold, to find new ways of exploring the kaleidoscopic histories of LGBT elders across the centuries. I often place these stories within new and modern contexts to explore innovative approaches to equity and fairness in representation

Since 2013 I have published segments of my plays and monologues in leading LGBT publications in the UK and internationally. This has included a semi-autobiographical monologue in Queer Anthology of Rage, London (2018), alongside authors and visual artists including AA Bronson,Sarah Schulman, Olivia Laing, Chris Kraus, and others

I contributed two visual essays to the critically acclaimed LGBT journal Butt Magazine, Amsterdam. This included a story exploring digital cruising and online spaces of desire (2015), and a fictional story exploring the histories of gay mens lonely hearts adverts on the website Craigslist (2013)

My published writing and storytelling projects have been reviewed within the national arts and culture press: Tank Magazine (2019), The Independent (2014 and 2017)
