Phoebe Moore

Writer Actor Theatre-Maker Facilitator

Phoebe Moore is an actor, writer and drama facilitator from Tipperary, currently based between Ireland and London. Phoebe is completing a Masters degree in Applied Theatre: Drama in Educational, Community & Social Contexts at Goldsmiths University and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Theatre studies from Trinity College Dublin. As an actor, Phoebe has performed in Ireland and abroad, working with Dragonfly Theatre Company in Ho Chi Minh city, Vietnam and in Italy with the Theatre in Education company, Educo Italia. As a non-formal educator and facilitator Phoebe has worked with the Centre Talented Youth (CTYI) in association with DCU, Dublin Youth Theatre with whom she worked as the Programme Coordinator and with the Roots Collective, a group she co-founded, which delivers filmmaking workshops to young people seeking asylum. Phoebe is also a writer and spoken word artist, her most recent play MaMa, a dark comedy looking at the Climate Crisis through an eco-feminist perspective, was produced and staged by the Goldsmiths Drama Society in March 2023. Phoebe also wrote and recorded a spoken word poem for the documentary Bog Standard produced in collaboration with An Taisce and looking at Peatland conservation. Phoebe’s research interest lies in the intersection between performance and cities. As a member and co-founder of the volunteer led group Reclaim Our Spaces, she is interested in using creative means to communicate the importance of well designed, sustainable uses of public space in our cities and urban centers. She hopes to use her skills as a drama practitioner and facilitator to advocate for community level consultation in urban planning. She looks forward to developing future projects which expand on ideas of place and home.
