31-year old Poet, performer and playwright Jordan Charles (he/him) shines on screen on ITV’s Starstruck with Beverley Knight and as a talent judge on BBC1's hit show 'All Together Now' (Jordan at 4:00) alongside Spice Girl Geri Horner! Whilst performing with Gary Barlow, Kaiser Chiefs and Dannii MInogue, Jordan also appeared on BBC1’s Let it Shine. He has hosted for iconic POC Cabaret collective The Cocoa Butter Club since 2018, appearing in prestigious spaces such as Glastonbury Festival, Wilderness Festival, Soho House and The Ned.
For the past 5 years. Jordan has shared moments of joy, musicality and community as part of Jackson’s Lane & Haringey’s BROADWAY BRUNCH project. In 2019 he became Artist in Residence at Manchester’s historic Islington Mill, working on his first musical, OYA. Today, Jordan performs across the country and internationally delighting audiences on cruise ships, high end hotels and luxury events from the US & the Caribbean to mainland Europe and more.
After igniting a passion for the arts at Milverton House School and at the Abbey Theatre’s Festival of the Arts as a child, Jordan wrote his first musical at the age of 20. FREEDOM - The Musical, a fictional portrayal of the iconic civil rights heroes, The Freedom Riders, toured the West Midlands to great reactions. Jordan wrote, directed and starred in this production, gaining him the name ‘Little Lloyd Webber’ from one radio host and patron. He then moved onto his second stage project, OYA.
