AURA (she/her) is a transdisciplinary artist who fuses visual arts, performance, theatre and dance to explore gender and sustainability issues.
Her work has been showcased internationally across Portugal, Poland, France, Italy, Sweden, and the UK, namely “The Transformation of the World” (2022, Municipal Galleries of Lisbon) and “7 ≈ 8” (2021, Maia Contemporary Art Biennial. 2022, The Place, Stockholm Fringe Festival, Quinzena de Dança de Almada, Mala Voadora, CLAY - Center for Live Art Yorkshire).
Holds a master's degree in Performance Making by Goldsmiths. Graduated in Fine Arts and Intermedia by ESAP. Attended the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk during Erasmus.
Collaborated with Carlota Lagido, Raimund Hoghe, Alessandro Bosetti and Aki Nagasaka. Participated in several workshops and programmes with over 30 international creators, among them are Ron Athey, nora chipaumire, Marta Ziólek, Mårten Spångberg, Adriano Wilfert Jensen.
She has been supported and awarded by Porto City Council, Setúbal City Council, Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, GDA Foundation, Portuguese Youth Foundation, ESAP, DGES, and Santander Universities.
