Osman Ozgun

Actor Writer Theatre Director

Hi! I am Osman Ozgun (he/him) but also go by Ozzie. I am a creative based in North London from mixed Turkish Cypriot and Irish heritage. I am an actor, writer and director with a specialism in theatre but also write short stories and radio plays. I also work as a freelance drama tutor/facilitator and am passionate about encouraging future generations of creatives.

My favourite styles of theatre are comedy and naturalism. I describe myself as a character actor and bring this into my writing of character-driven plays. When directing, I like to have a collaborative process and encourage the actors to use play/improvisation to make new discoveries. At university I immersed myself into student theatre alongside my training and put on my own production in my final year. I also have experience performing at the Camden and Edinburgh Fringe Festivals as well as directing experience at the former.
