Xiaonan Wang

Actor Theatre maker Puppeteer Clown humming sketcher

Xiaonan Wang (she/her) is an actor, puppeteer and theatre-maker and feminist. She's from China, now based in London, UK. She is also a co-founder of the theatre group Ensemble Not Found.
Her experience at school cultivated her interest in puppetry and devising theatre. And an unexpected meeting with Clowning allowed her to discover more about her inner child and humourous nature. With endless curiosity, she always works on what’s fresh and is fascinated with physical and contemporary visual theatre.
She is someone who can dance anytime and anywhere. With training in various dance styles including Chinese classical, Latin, and contemporary dance, she continues to explore the natural movement of her body. She believes that within unconventional movements, there may lie the most authentic expressions.
