Cara Vaitilingam

Director Performer Facilitator

Cara Vaitilingam (she/her) is a director, performer and facilitator born and raised in Bristol with Sri Lankan and Italian-American roots.

She is interested in work that explores the complexity of our identities and celebrates what makes us human. Cara is drawn to stories that are exuberant, sensitive and alive. She is especially interested in musical theatre and new plays.

Cara currently works full-time in the National Theatre's Learning department, where she works with adults and young people on workshops, training and talks. She also hosts I Found My Island, a musical theatre open mic night which she founded in 2024.
