Claudia Kurucz (she/her) is a multidisciplinary artist, working as an actor, and director for theatre and film. A graduate of Theatre and English from Bristol university, Claudia’s work draws from a broad understanding of critical and historical performance frameworks which range from performance art, verbatim, clowning and physical theatre. In 2021/22 she was resident at the Bristol Old Vic as part of the Made In Bristol scheme, where she gained theatre directing, devising and facilitating experience which culminated in a production in the Weston Studio. She also has completed a filmmaking certificate at the London Film Academy and has directed and acted her own short films. Claudia is keen to experiment with the interplay of theatre and film in her upcoming projects.
Claudia recently brought the devised climate show FREAK OUT! to VAULT festival (Show of the week Nominee) with her theatre company Coin Toss Collective. This was an ACE funded run.
She is looking for opportunities to continue to develop her practice as an actor/director/deviser for theatre and film and is interested in workshop leading /assisting as a drama facilitator.
