Sara Amini

Theatre Director Actor Singer

Sara (She/her) is a director, singer and actress from Iran and has been based in London for the past 13 years. She studied BA Theatre Directing at Tehran University and MA Performance Making at Goldsmiths, University of London. She also trained with Teatr Piesn Kozla (Song of the Goat Theatre) and Ariane Mnouchkine & Theatre du Soleil. She is a former and the artistic director of Seemia Theatre. Seemia Theatre are an award-winning international ensemble and was part of Barbican Theatre Open Lab 2021-2022.
Sara has facilitated workshops for refugees organisations (The Marylebone Project and Migrants Organise) in London, at Summerhall in Edinburgh, for Iranian community in London on behalf of Saam Theatre, and Guest Lectured at Tehran Art University and Sooreh University, Tehran.
Sara was Assistant Director of NOT TALKING by Mike Bartlett at Arcola Theatre.
She is intrested to find more experiances as an assistante director in stablished theatres and profesional UK theatre industry.
